More harm is done by unprepared transfers than by the injuries themselves: patients leave stable and arrive obstructed, cold, fitting or pulseless. Treat transfer like any procedure — with an indication, preparation, equipment, a trained operator and documentation. The principle: stabilise what you can, anticipate what will go wrong on the road, and never outsource en-route care to hope.
