The primary brain injury happened at the moment of impact; nothing at the bedside reverses it. The secondary injury — from hypoxia, hypotension, hypoglycaemia, seizures and delayed recognition of bleeding inside the skull — is substantially preventable with careful basic care. That is the entire mission of head-injury management at upazila level.
